Buen Camino,
Does anyone if there is, a drop off / office for Express Bourricot ( to ship luggage to Casa Ivar) in SJPP?. Any info will be helpful!
Thanx in advance.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
Express Bourricot does not ship to Casa Ivar, they contract with the Loop Inn in Santiago for luggage storage. This is actually very convenient because they have 24/7 reception and you can pick up your bag at your leisure. They also offer Express Bourricot customers s discount on a room.

They pick up at your accommodation.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Shipping from France into Spain - can be problematic sometimes since it is crossing borders. I haven't done it myself - but have heard many complaints.

I have seen many people recommend do luggage transfer for the first few days then when you reach Pamplona - you can stop at a post office/correos and ship to Casa Ivar, less problems shipping from within Spain.

I have shipped belongings home from Pamplona and had no issues (to the US) - their post office/correos was very helpful.

I've added up the costs to use daily transport to Pamplona, then ship via Correos to Ivar, and it wasn't any cheaper than using Express Bourricot, and Express Bourricot is hassle free.

Here's a post that I made comparing the cost of Express Bourricot vs daily transport then mailing from Pamplona.

I think that you'll find that when you add the daily transport cost until Pamplona, the cost to mailing the bag from Pamplona to Santiago, and Ivar's storage fee that Express Bourricot's fee of 70€ seems very reasonable!

First you will have 3 or 4 days until Pamplona at the cost of 7€ a day until Pamplona (actually Express Bourricot charges 8€ per day for the stages between SJPDP and Roncesvalles) , which will between 22€ and 30€, depending on whether you take 3 or 4 days.

Then there is the cost to send it to Ivar, which I'll estimate at 20€ (based on the price I paid to send a small suitcase from Irun to Ivar)

Then there's Ivar's storage fee which is between 20€ and 25€ and you're between 62€ and 75€, plus the hassle of going to the post office during operating hours in Pamplona. And don't forget that once you are in Santiago you can pick up your bag at your convenience when you use Express Bourricot.

I'm not knocking Ivar's service at all, but in my opinion, when shipping from SJPDP, Express Bourricot wins out.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
