September on the camino

Hi
We are starting the camino in sept, from baamonde. Ive read a few reviews to say places to stay are closed at this time of year, is this true and is it necessary to book beforehand?

It is our first camino and we just want to try to try it out by doing the 100km as a starter.
Thank you in anticipation.

Hi! I'm genuinely interested why you're starting there on your first Camino?

Thanks for your email.

We couldn't take more than a week off from work unfortunately, so thought doing 100km would be a starting point and hopefully next year look at doing the whole thing.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I've walked the Camino several times in September and never had a problem with lodging.

Hi Annie

Thank you for the information and links. Just a quick question, we have not had confirmation on numbers yet for the walkers, there may only be a couple of us (women). Do you feel safe walking as female and low numbers?

Thank you
