Time of past OR future Camino
2019
Just today I decided taking 3 weeks this fall to ‘Walk the Path’ is just what I need. I completed Camino Frances September 2019 and after 4 years of transition, disappointments and some stagnation, it is time to get back on track. I plan to fly to Biarritz, train to SJPP and walk for one week, then train to a week from Santiago, walk another week, then train to Barcelona for a couple days and fly back to Canada.🇨🇦 I sense there are lots of changes since the pandemic but am up for it. I hope to meet some mindful companions along the way….

Sounds good. I did SJPDP TO Santiago in 2016, then Roncesvalles to Burgos the following year. Think the next time I do the Frances, I'm going to start in Burgos (I loved the Meseta! - does that make me a bad person? 🤣), then go as far as Ponferrada before picking up the Camino Invierno to SDC. (My logic, was missing the busy Sarria to SDC stretch, and experiencing something new)
I think the Camino Invierno is roughly 2 weeks walking so could be an option for you? All depends what sort of experience you want - think the Invierno is a lot quieter than the CF.
Having said all that, the first thing I normally do when I get there is ignore my carefully laid plans 🤣
Have a great Camino 👍

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
@NancyLee , with two full weeks of walking you could comfortably walk the Primitivo. That way you're not having to break things up with public transport in between, which personally I find really disturbs my rhythm, let alone the sense of well-being that being on Camino gives me. Not as quiet as the Invierno, and with more infrastructure making it much easier to break up the stages should you want to walk a couple of shorter days. A few more people - giving you a good chance to make some mindful interactions - but nowhere near as busy as the Frances. Well, until the last three days when the Frances joins the Primitivo for that final stretch into town. And on those days you can stay off stage very easily.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

A great time to walk!

I am in no way trying to be a jerk or obnoxious. I hear the term mindful all the time and I really have no idea what it really means. I know what mindless means. I actually apply my own definition to mindless when I am walking. That is thinking only gets you in trouble. Thinking is what got me here in the first place. Also for about the last 10 years, (I am now 70). If I haven't figured it out by now I never will.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
