Ok.. I need to VENT!

Once again I am unable to book ahead the bus tickets for any of my several bus trips while in Spain.

Alsa will only take a credit card issued in Spain (???) and when I get ALL the information in and try to pay via Paypal, it simply stops... doesn't go to that page. I'm ready to throw a cup at my computer screen! It seems with all the people traveling from other countries onto the Camino, they would keep their webpage in working order. ACK! :!:

Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours putting in the names and passport numbers, only to have it refuse to budge.

Today I tried again.. to no avail.
The customer service link is a joke... they provide no workable email option.
I guess they don't want to hear customers complain.

So I guess I'll have to wait until I arrive in spain and do this at the Alsa office first of September, which sucks because I'm afraid the seats may be sold by that time, since I need 15 seats.

Also, apparently someone in Pamplona has given Carolyn from Espress Bouricott a hard time, so now she's not doing trips from Pamplona to SJPP. The Pamplona taxi company charges a heck of a lot more than she charges.

Ok. I'm done. No need to answer as I don't believe there IS a solution ... Just needed to get it out.

If anyone is looking for a taxi from Pamplona to SJPP on September 10, give me a shout.
We have 6 spaces open. The more people we have, the less the fee.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Within Spain I was able to use a foreign-issued credit card to buy an ALSA ticket, but had to produce my passport for ID.

I had an interesting experience a month ago when I tried to use the SNCF French railways website to buy a ticket when I was within France: my New Zealand bank blocked the transaction, and sent me a bank mail message to contact them. It turned out that the SNCF website is one that those in possession of stolen cards/details often use to 'try out' the cards. So when an attempt was made to use this site on my card, the bank immediately had it flagged as a possible fraudulent transaction. Perhaps ALSA has had too many problems like this with foreign cards being used on their website.

If my overnight flight from Dallas is on time, my traveling-companion and I will be arriving in Pamplona just after 1pm on 10 September. We were just planning on taking a cab to SJPP (since we also can't book bus tickets online--aarrgghh!!!) but if you have a couple of extra seats for two jet-lagged pilgrims, that would be fabulous.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Hi I'm travelling to Burgos to walk part of the Camino Frances next year and my options seems to be fly into Santander and coach to Burgos, or fly into Madrid, then coach to Burgos. Don't think...
Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
