Sending things to Santiago

Time of past OR future Camino

Hi! I leave in a few days and will fly in to Madrid then head to SJPDP to start my Camino. I’m doing some travelling in Spain and Europe after I’m done and have some clothes and things I want to have shipped to Santiago. Do I need them to go to a specific hostel there? Should I do it from Madrid or SJPDP? What’s a reliable and inexpensive service people recommend?
Thanks!

I recommend using the service of Express Bourricot in SJPdP. It's a little more expensive than mailing via the post office from Madrid, but it's so easy to use. You don't need to worry about wrapping the suitcase in a particular way, but you should lock it or secure it with zip ties. You just go to the Express Bourricot office on the same street as the Pilgrim's Office. Give them your information, let them know where you are staying in St Jean, and pay the fee. They will give you a tag to put on the suitcase. In the morning before you start out on the Camino you just leave the suitcase at reception where you are staying, and they will pick it up.

When you arrive in Santiago it will be stored at the Loop Inn in Santiago, which has 24 hr reception so you can pick it up anytime without worrying about post office hours.
