Hi all
Planning my next camino (Sanabres) around May. it's already 2025 in Australia, so happy new year, everyone!

I know we can send a suitcase ahead to Santiago to Casa Ivar via Correos. But has anyone used any other service to send luggage from Ourense to Santiago, such as Pilbeo? How was the experience?

We don't want daily transport, only someone who can collect our luggage in Ourense and, by the time we reach Santiago, it's there at the hotel. Any suggestions?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Hey Anamya, probably figure out your hotels and as part of your booking and see if they know of any servcies. On the ground the may have or know local bag forwarding service to your next hotel in Santiago.

OR

Crank out a few hot baths trips. Then do a quick trip to the Correors in Oresnse and send that extra stuff to Ivar. The guy is a legend and his office is super close to the cathedral plaza.

If you don't want to take your suitcase yo the Correos office uou can arrange with @ivar to have it picked up by DHL in Ourense, but I think that it will cost you quite a bit a bit more than taking it to the Correos office yourself.

It cost me 28€ to have Correos send a suitcase from Barcelona to Santiago last May.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

Yup, I already have some hotels in mind, good idea to ask them :)
And I'll surely be enjoying those hot baths!

@ward4e and @trecile - I don't mind going to the correos if needed, Ivar services are great! Thanks for the info on cost, that gives a good idea on how much to spend.
