Sarria to Santiago with handicap toddler

Help! I need suggestions. I have a friend that is planning to walk from Sarria to Santiago with a handicapped toddler using a stroller. Is this something that can be done? I have never walked this route and she feels it will be possible. Should she chose a different route? Is a stroller going to cause more work? I hate to think she will get out there and be stranded with a stroller and toddler that cannot walk.

Can you rent something like one of those jogging strollers in Sarria?

Many thanks to all that can offer suggestions and opinions!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Toddlers in strollers have roamed the Caminos before, often. Bring your own stroller and make sure it works for the child.
Here's a blog of a family who walked the entire Camino Francés with a toddler, this would be the type of stroller that your friend would need.

Of course it also depends on the handicap and on what it takes to keep this specific child comfortable.
Use luggage transport and carry only a day pack. Would they need special amenities for the night?

I think she will be fine as long as she has a stroller that can be used on trails.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I have seen plenty of people on that stretch with strollers... Not sure how they fared, just saw them.

If you watch Six Ways to Santiago, the French lady takes her toddler and accompanying stroller with her the whole way, so it is possible. I would suggest for Sarria to Santiago that she go in mid to late September, as the tracks will not be muddy, the temperature is a bit cooler combined with only a moderate risk of rain.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
