Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I would recommend theJohn Brierly guide that can be pirchased from theForum's shop. It will give you all the info you need. You can also look at sites like Gronze and Eroski.

I will be walking from Santiago to Muxia in August.
Can someone give me some tips on routes, accomodations and difficulty?

Pick-up (free) information and credencial at the TOURIST Office in the Rua Villar in Santiago as the Pilgrims Office isn't really 'keen' on this route. ;-) BC SY

Hello SYates, I also plan to walk the Santiago-Finisterre route. Why do you say "the Pilgrims Office isn't really keen on this route"?

Because they are attached to the Cathedral which is the end point for the pilgrimage TO Santiago de Compostela. Don't get me wrong, they are not unkind, the tourist office is simply the better place for info on the Finisterre/Muxia route. BC SY

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hello dear experienced Peregrinos!
I have 4 days to walk the Santiago to Finisterre route and then I absolutely must be back in Santiago on Sept 28 as my wife arrives at 1945H. I used the forwalk.org site to come up with this itinerary:
Sept 24: Santiago to Negreira (22km)
Sept 25: Negreira to A Ponte Olveira (33.8km)
Sept 26: A Ponte Olveira to Cee (21.3km)
Sept 27: Cee to Fisterra (13km)
Sept 28: bus to Santiago

May I please get your valued feedback, suggestions, critiques to this plan?

Thank you.

Lito

No problems that I see but if you want to push things a bit days 3 and 4 can be combined and on day 4 you can walk to Muxia. I think that is a better walk but you could do Muxia first because bus service from Finisterre is better than from Muxia.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thank You very much, Rick! I will consider your suggestion but 34kms might be stretching it for me. I have back problems (AS) and will also be lugging along my CPAP machine.

It was just a suggestion after all and it is a long days walk. I was carrying quite a load over the stretch and it took a lot out of me.
