Hi all fellow travellers!
My name is Pascal and I am on my third Camino. In 2005 I walked from Amsterdam to Mont Saint Michel, all along the coast and then on to Santiago. In 2006 I did the Le Puy - Santiago route, simply beautiful! And now I am on my third pilgrimage, which started in Genova (Italy) in February 2009. I did the Via della Costa and took the GR51 in Ventimiglia to Fréjus/St Raphaël where I am working the summer, since it is simply too hot to walk! In October I will walk to Arles, then on to the Pyrenees, but will take the Camino del Norte to Santiago and Fisterra, where I will arrive at Christmas, God willing. In January, I will return via the Camino del Norte to Arles and on to Fréjus again, in order to continue to Rome after a summer working. Arrival in Rome is timed for Christmas 2010. And then the realization of a dream: the Pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem, arrival in 2011.
I do my pilgrimage as autonomously as possible, welcoming Nature as my main provider of accommodation. People en route are generous, I am often invited, even if it is simply for coffee. One learns to appreciate the very simple things in Life...
So that is me and my current plan in a nutshell. Any comments whatsoever are always welcome.
Godspeed, my fellow pilgrims! I will pray for you!
