Santiago first weekend in September

I am researching flights from Santiago to the UK on either Saturday 2 or Sunday 3 September and the flights seem to be about double the price of the following weekend. Is something special happening in Santiago?

My other thought is that it is the last weekend of the UK school holidays and people need to get back to the UK?
