Does anyone have advice on the travel from Santiago de Compostella to Irun in order to walk the Camino del Norte back to SDC?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Use the Rome2Rio app or website. Put in your starting/ending points and it will give you all transportation options and if available - links to buy tickets. Personally - I would fly into Bayonne or Bilbao and fly out of SdC or Madrid myself. Then take the train to get to Irun and train or bus to Madrid if you chose to go home via Madrid.

I would advise to take the train.
Different possibilities , transfer via Madrid or Segovia. Total of ten hours of slow travel.Very relaxing and comfy and much more ecofriendly than a flight.
See website from the national railwaycompany : RENFE.

Lucky you : two Caminos!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
There is a busconnection, it will take about 10 to 12 hours though (It is run by Alsa, there might be a Flixbus too) You might have to change over in Burgos
