The Santarem Hostel near the Tourist office is gorgeous. The beds and rooms are elegant and the host and hostess (Mario and Teresa) are warm and welcoming. What an oasis after a long, hot day on the Way. Don´t get side-tracked into a competing (and more expensive) hostel with a similar name if you can help it.
