If all goes well, LT and I will join the Aragones on Wednesday (June 24). The closest town will be Santa Cilia.

We would like to start the Aragones in Somport, and so we are planning to travel from Santa Cilia to Somport in late afternoon.

I have checked schedules but would love confirmation from some of our travel gurus. I find we can take a bus from Santa Cilia to Jaca at 16.46. In Jaca I think we can catch a bus to Somport at 19.35, which means we'll arrive around 8 pm. Does that look right?

Mil gracias from two peregrinas on the Cami Catala.

Yes, it looks about right. You would arrive to Somport around 20:10. I guess Santa Cilia de Jaca is just a stop along a bus route so I would suggest to go (well) ahead of time because at intermediate stops the schedule is approximate what means the bus can arrive either earlier or later depending on traffic, passengers than got/left the bus on previous stops and other factors.

Hi, On thursday I'm taking the bus from Pamplona to Somport changing at Jaca and from the info you have supplied i will not arrive in Somport until 20:10, will the albergue still be accepting pilgrims at this late hour?

Hi Judy. Here is the albergues website so you can contact them directly.

But I can't imagine they won't be open then. Indeed the eroski site says they take pilgrims till 22:30. Buen camino, can't wait to hear how it goes.

Thanks for your help Laurie. I will be home at the beginning of June, i will post something then.

Buen Camino Judy.
