Tomorrow Pope Francis will be visiting in Assisi and the town is sparkling the streets cleaned new flowers planted everywhere flags all over town and in all the villages surrounding. Very exciting and many pilgrims already there. I know Saint James appears on the wall of the Oratorio Peregrini. In Assisi but imagine my surprise when Opposite the Oratorio stands St James himself! Well, almost, staff, water gourd , shell, and robe stands our man motionless! Then someone drops a coin in his bucket and he bends to bless. I always wear a small shell which I quickly flashed, a coin into his bucket and a Buon Camino and he almost fell off his stand! Just when you think your private obsession with Saint James s under control then something like this happens!!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I know this is an old post, but just adding that one of the churches in Assisi has a fresco of the ressurrected chicken miracle from San Domingo.
