London Free Press reports that London artist and art therapist Wanda Sawicki is the only Londoner (and just one of three Canadians) whose work, included in a North American exhibit on the Camino, comes to King's University College on Friday. Some of her art in the show is from her Passion of the Road Series. Called Sacred Steps, the exhibit is in the student lounge and runs until Feb. 15.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
speaking of art exhibits...here in Halifax, Nova Scotia ...Canada..and at University Kings College...what a coincidence... there is an upcoming Camino exhibit and illustrated talk by Peter Coffman ...for those not familiar with his work....among other things he is the photographer who took those wonderful Camino images that are on the jacket and liner notes of the late Oliver Schroer's fantastic Camino CD...I think I might even have worn out his CD ....as I played it on all my many Camino training walks...I am so excited to be able to see Peter's photo exhibit and listen as he talks of walking the Camino with Oliver....

The details are as follows:

"Halifax, Nova Scotia – The sights and sounds of the ancient pilgrimage road to Santiago de
Compostela – the fabled Camino Santiago – are coming to ViewPoint Gallery. Photographer
Peter Coffman’s images from his 2004 pilgrimage will be exhibited from February 4th – March
1st, accompanied by evocative text from his pilgrimage journal and music recorded along the
route by his friend and travelling companion, the late musician Oliver Schroer. There will be an
opening reception at ViewPoint Gallery on February 5th, and an illustrated public talk by the
photographer at the University of King’s College on the evening of February 11th."

Thank You Sil for giving me the heads up on this exhibition. For some reason I missed the article in the morning paper that day. Oh well, got around to view the art yesterday and was quite pleased by it all. By looking at the guest book the exhibition was well attended and well recieved. The web site for the exhibition is http://www.SacredStepsInSpain.com. Thanks again
