Ryanair introduce Stansted-Vitoria

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Most airlines have been fleeing to Bilbao and Vitoria-Foronda Airport was a bit neglected and abandoned, despite being a most conveniently located airport, either for the Camino and the area. Facilities were much better and substantially safer. The Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao didnŽt allow what was supposed to be the central airport for the Basque region to develop. Fortunately Ryanair is getting it, and will absorb many of the passangers back which had previously escaped. ItŽs bad for Bilbao (they have another front opened in the west with Santander airport and Ryanair operating there) and now the circle closes here.

One advantage Bilbao has for non-Spaniards is that everyone has heard of it. Few have heard of Vitoria (let alone Gasteiz ) or know where it is.

N Spain is now quite well covered by flights from England, or at any rate Stansted. Ryanair to Biarritz, Vitoria, Santander, Valladolid and Santiago; easyJet to Bilbao and Asturias (and Madrid).

DonŽt worry. I am sure, Ryanair will add the tittle Bilbao-South to Vitoria to get a promotion in the UK
