Rosales Albergue warning

Al the optimist

Veteran Member
Lovely albergue next to bar in small sports complex. Key from friendly staff in bar. However when I closed the door behind me at 7 in the morning I then turned the corner to find the gates locked! It was cold and wet so I climbed 4ft up a wall but had to drop 8ft the other side! Probably started my ankle problem off.
So please make sure they know you need to leave early.

Yikes! No way would I ever want to drop 8ft down the side of a wall, especially with a Camino backpack!

Brave pilgrim, you! And/or eternally optimistic. :)

Oh that's not good at all. I hope your ankle doesn't continue to remind you of that adventure.

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
Where was this? I remember that the albergue in La Peza was next to a fitness centre. But the hospitalero was there early to make breakfast, and the gate was open. He told me he would leave in a few weeks to walk some Camino.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
