We made a reservation for Roncesvalles through their site on May 7, 2022 (for 2 beds for August 6th). The money came out of our bank account, but we have not heard anything or received an email with any confirmation that our beds are reserved. I went back to their site and sent a message through their site on the 13th inquiring, and still have not heard anything. Should we be worried about this or does anyone know if this is how they operate (I know they must be crazy busy). Just afraid of getting there and not having beds. In 2017 we didn't make a reservation and we ended up in an overflow area which definitely wasn't the best, but we were thankful we had a place to lay our heads. Anyone else reserve through their site and what was your experience re confirmation. Thank You.
 
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I made the reservation through their web site a little while ago and had received "reservation locater(number)" and the money taken out of the credit card. This reservation is for Orreaga Roncesvalles Pilgrim Hostel and September 15th. arrival.
They must be very busy around this time and I wouldn't worry as long as they had taken the money.
 
Another suggestion is to check your bank account for the charge where the money is taken away and if any doubt, you can dispute the charge through your bank to make sure the money is actually paid to the hostel.
 
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Sorry for intruding into this conversation but I have a reason for asking this: the photo copy in post #5, did you receive it by email or is it a screenshot of the webpage. It looks more like a screenshot to me than an email. Do they even send an email after payment?
 
This is what I saved immediately after the transaction. Their homepage generated this file. No email arrived. I hope everything is well for I'll be there the day after tomorrow.

@Tarisz, thank you for this confirmation. Everything is fine.

Generally speaking, it is a good idea to do a screenshot or a print-out in such cases, as you did. I do this often because I know from experience that those who design websites don't always think of their users - who then end up empty-ended with no emailed backup copy of text that they had just entered as a request or of the order they had just placed.

@Merge, no need to worry. Your payment is confirmation of your booking. After a successful booking with successful payment, there is nothing more, they do not send an additional confirmation by email. Buen Camino!

Thanks for your pic. I did do a screen shot after pmt that shows payment and on looking at that there is a number that starts with "AR" that's listed as an order reference number. No where does it state reservation or anything to that. No email was ever recieved. Guess we're going with this screen shot! Glad to see you email you received had an "AR" number so hoping our "AR" number will be what we need! I know they must be crazy crazy busy right now. Once we arrive, may call them the day before to confirm. Appreciate your help!
