In Finisterre I can highly recommend A Lareira. Full of local families coming for hearty food. There is a bar and a more formal comedor area.
Lovely owners.

The place to be if you love meat!!

In Negreira I will surely return to Casa Barquiero. A posh taperia / restaurante but again lovely owners who made this weary pilgrim very welcome.

A menu del dia for 14 € : what a bargain. I had an exquisite starter of grilled vegetables and a main of chipirones. Dessert was a fresh tarta de queso. The bottle of Rioja was kept on the table.

In Santiago I will keep returning to Petiscos do Cardeal. The place for lovely pintxos and tapas.
Again part bar and part more formal dining room.
Every day a new tapa suggestion.

Did you get to have a meal in As Pias in Olveiroa? Heads and shoulders above any of the other options. They also have a pension, but the food is good hearty home cooking.

Unfortunately not but heard raving reviews from fellow pilgrims who also stayed there for the night.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Los Tres Golpes in Fisterra!!! My ritual dinner second year in a row after watching sunset at Cabo Finisterre. I ask them to make me a little bit of everything and have an impression that I even pay less because that option is not on their menu ;)
EDIT: Seafood mostly.

Never stayed in As Pias but did enjoy eating there.
This pilgrim friendly bar/restaurant is open to all since 2007 and private accommodation was also available. In recent years I often ate delicious menu del dia in their small back dining room next to a blazing fireplace; this was very cosy during late autumn/winter visits.

Nevertheless I always slept in the Xunta albergue dorm.

Petiscos do Cardeal is on off our favorites to. The wide variety of food and some dishes were in consultation to adjust this because Marianne is still gluten free and no onions and garlic allowed.
Good service and friendly staff.

I’d definitely recommend the restaurant at the Albergues/hotel As Eiras in Lires. Very tasty food and lovely service. Also stayed in the hotel for the night and the beds were very comfortable (which may found for more than the food at that stage!). The staff are very nice and helpful. It had a really warm feel to it.

In Muxia definitely give restaurant O Porto a try. I’m coeliac and they are very knowledgeable and clear about what’s safe to eat and what not. The staff were really, really nice too and patient when it comes to my broken Spanish. Also, I had the best pulpo outside Melide there. Fisterra is mostly touristy ripoff food and in Muxia you’ve got a great chance to enjoy better food at more reasonable prices.
