I leave in a week for my first Camino....I was told to book Orisson a few months in advance. I emailed them... Twice...before they emailed me back (10 days after my first email).... Be patient (but persistent)... Was advised no reservation necessary for Roncesvalles. Am guessing that might depend on when you are going. Buen Camino.

Orisson, as soon as you are confident that you really want to stay there, they have 18 or so beds. Roncesvalles, why bother unless you are walking July-August and on a week-end, there are some 180+ beds in the Albergue plus additional accommodation in the village and the overspill in the 'old' albergue.

Acasually, according to Orisson's website, they have 28 beds.

Ah, I'm relying on the 1812 edition of the Sainted Brierley's "Gyde for Pilgrimes to the Shins of Santiago". Perhaps its time to buy a more modern version ;) Or perhaps I should just remember that there are far more beds available than these old bones are ever going to rest upon.

Everything prinred out of date. Live on vdlp with dec 2016 edition but hopelessly out of date. Spain still deep in recession and here today gone tomorrow. Still perfect for direction. Going north. Arrods everywhere. Merida and Caceres very easy to get throufh. Impossible to lose your way
