I just took a look at some of the stuff in the REI anniversary sale going on and there are some good deals to be had. Osprey Stratos 36 on sale for $99. Deuter Futura Pro 42 on sale for $119. They also have the Mountain Hardwear Lamina sleeping bag on sale for $99 (not the lightest, but it's a decent bag). And don't forget the 20% off any regularly priced item.....I'm thinking boots.
