Public transport from Santiago to Muxia

Time of past OR future Camino
FRuture: Camino Sureste (2022)
Dear Forum members,

I will be walking the French route in September/October. Once at Santiago wife in Santiago my wife will come to meet me to spend a couple of days together at Muxia and Finisterre.
Due to limited time we are thinking of catching a bus to Muxia and then walk the next day to Finisterre. This will take us only one day.
Where can I find information about the bus service from Santiago tu Muxia? Does any one know if this is possible.

Thank you and buen Camino,
Ray Aquilina

The Galician tourist office can give you all the details. It is in the street where the pilgrim's office used to be, on the right handside : rua do Vilar.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

My son and I walked from Fisterre to Muxia last May. A really nice walk. We used two easy days (Fisterre to Lires then on to Muxia) and throughly enjoyed it.

But I suggest you walk from Fisterre to Muxia - the climb out of Muxia is tough. From Fisterre the altitude gain and loss is the same, but the climb is much gentler. Also you will have the sun at your back coming from Fisterre.

Not too many places for refreshment. Halfway between Muxia and Lires is a fellow who offers refreshment for donation under a tent. He is by a fountain which is free. But he provides the tables and chairs with the view. And coffee, fruit etc. Interesting person too. Just the table and chairs were worth a few euros I thought.

In Lires (almost halfway) there is a nice bar with outside seating. It has nice views.

There isn't much else until you get to on down to Fisterre.

Transportation to or from either would be about the same.
