Problems with new forum program

Suffice it to say I haven't yet stopped walking
I really enjoy the new program; however, the program will turn into a monster about three times per week.

When I click to shut down Explorer Version 10, the Forum page turns into a repeating monster opening tens, hundreds of pages so fast I cannot count them. I attempt to shut down the system by clicking on the Explorer icon at the bottom left to close all Explorer pages, but it cannot keep up with the number of pages being opened.

At other times I can click on the Start button to try and shut down the system or to Log Off, but that is prevented at times from the sheer number of pages being opened which occupies my computer. At this point, I force a shut down of the system just in order to stop the system and regain control of my computer.

I use MS Version 7 Operating System.

Has anyone else experienced this type of glitch in the system? Is there a fix? My system is updated to current updates.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
When I´m on it´s either a Mac or iPhone , no problems at present. Sorry to read you are having some but for sure they´ll fix that shortly.

Buen Camino!

That doesn't sound like being caused by the forum software to me. Have you run recently a malware / virus check on your computer? SY

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Yes, I use a Norton 360 product and it is up to date. It only happens with the Forum site, but it is odd. I wonder if it could be with the advertising marquee? Really strange.

It does not occur on my iPad; just my Vaio laptop. Oh happy day.

Cheers,

Have you tried out different browser, does the problem occur in all or only in one? SY

I have just about given up accessing the forum using my iPad and using a browser since the behaviour of the site is unstable.

I find myself having to access the login screen twice before I can actually login ( the first time nothing comes up and only after I refresh the same screen does the login prompt show up ). On the iPad using a browser the screen bounces around so much as it refreshes and reloads, I am forever tapping the wrong button, etc.

So I use the app on my iPad when I access the site.

On the Mac mini the site behaves generally well, though sometimes I am unable to reply to a post ( it is greyed out) and I must close down the site and return to the thread and that same post in order to be able to reply. Beyond that it is okay

I must admit I more often access the site using the app, since it is easier to navigate around and see the most current posts, etc than the site. I still have trouble figuring out what is new and recent or just recent but not new, just new but not recent.

This feature is just confusing and I have given up trying to figure it out.

Personally while I like the new colour scheme of the site, it is genially too busy for my liking. Maybe the site could look more like the app?

I have not tried using a different browser yet, but I use Explorer almost exclusively. Maybe it is time to get used to alternative browsers.

I use Chrome on a 7 laptop and have no problems. That 'repeating' glitch happened on my daughter's computer and when I checked it the next time I visited I found that she had a virus (well, actually it was her computer, not her).
The log-in thing - when you log in tick the box "keep me logged in" and then you won't have to log in each time you visit.

There is a small update to the forum software that will fix a few smaller issues related to Internet Explorer (and the RSS feed) avaliable. I will install this update in the next few days. I hope this might fix some of the porblems you are having.

Saludos,
Ivar

Ivar, you are most kind and I appreciate your constant efforts.

Best regards,

Still, try switching to Chrome. I have used all three: Chrome, IE and Firefox for many years and Chrome has been the smoothest and most glitch-free by far.
