Postal Delivery Options in Porto

I will be starting the camino in Porto and would like to carry my pocket knife without having to pay the exorbitant fee to check a bag on the airline. Is it possible to mail a parcel to general delivery in Portugal and pick it up at a post office? Anyone know where to send it in Porto?

Thanks.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Don't know about PO but another option would be sending it to the hostel/airbnb place/wherever you might pend your first night if you have a booking.

Maybe just buy a cheap knife in Portugal?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
If you are sending goods from outside European Union the parcel can be retained at the customs, be there for some time, and even have to pay something. Just like everywhere else in the world...
If you want to take the risk, it is easy to send it to the place where you will stay. The PO will charge you around 1 Euro for the service.
