post office encounters

After sending a package to myself in Porto and difficulty locating it, I am wondering how to best send one from Porto to Santiago. General delivery to myself or is there a pilgrim office that would be better? if so, what should the address be? Thank you. I am between Caminos in Porto now and hoping to begin the coast route tomorrow.

Hi Kathy C, I suggest sending the package directly to Ivar in Santiago - see his details on the forum. I used the main post office in Porto to do this and it worked fine - thank you Ivar! The staff at the P.O. counter were very helpful, the cost was low and tracking was provided but be prepared for a wait before your numbered ticket is called. Bom Caminho!
