Does anyone have a recommendation for where to stay in Porrino?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Last year I stayed in Casucho da Peregrina. Lots of positives and the owner made a real effort to accommodate my vegan diet for breakfast.
This year as there are two of us I'm going for Casa Lolita. It has its own kitchen which suits us......

Thanks! Did Porinno strike you as a place where you could easily spend a rest day or does Tui seem better suited for a day of exploring?

I stayed at Senda Sur. It was good, served it’s purpose.
Thanks! I've asked this of Fourfold as well. I'm wondering if Porrino would be a good place for a rest stop. Did it strike you as a town with a lot to explore or do you think Tui better fits that bill?

I like Valenca better than Tui (Valenca is just before Tui). Porrino was nice. There’s a lot there if you need to stock up at the store, want candy, different places to eat, etc.

A rest day in Tui or Valenca would be my preference. You could probably explore both on your day off.

I stayed at Albergue Fonte Dos Aloques. Nice place with curtained bunks and good facilities. Clean, and located near the town centre.

I agree that a rest day is better taken in the Valenca/Tui area.

Caldas de rei is a wonderful place to spend a rest day. We did last week and spent half day swimming and relaxing at the nearby waterfalls

Too many I think just walk through Valenca, not appreciating it?
However having said that I really enjoy Tui. Don't miss Ideas for a meal or a stay. Very highly recommended!
I also agree with @Dilbin that the falls and little pool by Caldas de Rei is very worth the slight walk off the main trail. I visited it twice, different times of the year, both quite hot days, but the water was very cool and relaxing.

See your post. 4km or so before Caldas there are also very beautiful falls and a large park. Im sure you visited there also. I always find the bit of research before each stage opens up amazing opportunities. I also spent two nights(different times) in Valenca and had the experience of walking across the bridge into Spain, one morning, at 5.30 am.
