I was there two weeks ago walking southward to Lisbon and I can tell you that 16 or 17 is colder than you think it is especially with the wind. The whole way down the weather was schizo—just the other day for instance I changed from shorts to long pants 4 times in a single day. When the sun is out it is hot enough to go in a t-shirt but that can change quicky. I’m outside Lisbon now and it is 20 degrees but it’s windy so I am wearing shorts, T-shirt with a long sleeve shirt on top and a down vest on top of it. 20 degrees in London I would be wearing a t-shirt and I don’t typically get cold. When it’s raining it’s actually freezing at those temperatures. And at night it is cold. Portuguese albergues unlike Galician ones do not have heating. Be prepared to layer and remove constantly. Again I tend to run hot so I have been surprised at how cold it can be at times especially with the rain. Hope this helps.
