Hi,
I was wondering how easy it is to start walking from Porto Airport on the Portugese Camino?
Has anyone on here done it before?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Jeff - The only reason I want to walk from the airport is that I am in Porto 2 weeks prior to mY starting the Camino. I am there with work and will have a couple of days being a tourist then.If you go directly from the airport to the Camino then you'll miss out on the city of Porto itself which would be such a shame. Catch the bus into the city, chill out and play tourist for a day and then catch the metro out to Matoshinos and start walking up the coast (if that's the CP you intend to take).
I am flying back into Porto 2 weeks after I have been there with work. Thats why I want to know about the route from the airport?Luck you! No need to go near the airport then - the metro idea stands though plus there's a tourist office on the sea front where you can pick up a stamp and, if they have them in stock, maps of the camino.
Enjoy, it's a lovely country and Caminho.
Thanks for this. I want to get onto the central route so one of the links is useful.Check out these earlier recent threads--
