From what I've read, the trail over the mountain north of Ponte de Lima (Portela?) is not suitable for cycling. Has anyone tried the N 201 or some other alternate route?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Have you tried looking for GPS tracks on ride with GPS or Strava or other to see what is common. A lot of people post their rides including camino's on these sites so you may be able to find the information you are seeking.

I have not cycled the section you are looking for information on but with 10% of pilgrims on cycle there has to be a simple alternate that is most likely mark.

Hope to do st Jean de port to finisterre in September 24 on bike. To buy a bike in Ireland and transport or buy in France. Any thoughts welcomed
Is there a dedicated guide for cyclists that suggests alternatives to the rocky/steep parts of the trail? I found a link to a 2018 one on another thread, but it is no longer available.
