Ah thanksThis was discussed at some length recently. Bottom line is that the airport policy has changed and Ryanair now charge for checked-in poles.
It's always security, not the airline who decides if something can go in the cabin. Whether or not to charge to put them in the hold is up to the airport.Security won’t let you take them through either. I saw a girl give up her poles to TSA a few weeks ago at Santiago airport.
