Polarsteps

A selection of Camino Jewellery
I have used Polarsteps so that my elderly mother could follow my Camino. She loved the map.
I haven't used it to plan a Camino.

Has anyone ever use the app “Polarsteps” to plan your Camino or to have others follow your Camino?
I haven't, but now I'm going to try it out. I used the TrailJournals website in 2016, but technology has apparently come a long way since then!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Yes! I did the Camino Frances this year and posted pictures every day. It was a shorter version of a journal that I could share with my followers. They loved it and looked forward to my posts every day. I loved looking at the pics so much that I ordered a book when I returned home. Buen Camino!

Thank you! I have not been on Facebook for about a year and Instagram is not my thing either. I think Polarsteps will be perfect as I want to have my friends and family follow along and be able to send pictures as well. How did your book turn out?

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.

I am currently testing Polarsteps and FindPenguins. So far, I am finding FindPenguins to be more intuitive to use. Also, it allows captions with the photos, and I haven't been able to find a way to do that in Polarsteps.

It's beautiful and brings back so many wonderful memories!!!
I haven't been on FB since I left for my Camino on April 19th, however I do like Instagram!

You can do that on Polarsteps and your followers can comment on your photos also. It must be easy or I wouldn't have been able to do it! Maybe google it or email them for instructions?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I might do that, but I am going to choose the app that is the easiest to use without having to go to the Help Section.

I used PolarSteps and it was very easy to use. Although it seems like people have to sign up to follow you - which limits some people from using - I had plenty of people who accessed the website and didn't sign up at all. I had a book made and it was great! It's a nice coffee table size and so many people leaf through it when they're at our house. Also, I love that I can go back and watch videos and it brings me right back to that day and place!

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I have used polarsteps a few times now. I love it too and so do my followers. You can sent people a link from your journey.
Its easy to write some notes from your day and attach foto and video's.
I really like the book you can make afterwards.

I used it to record my 2018 Portuguese Camino. Very easy to use and upload photos. I don't know how it would be used for planning but maybe I haven't fully explored the app.

Primitivo last year. I used Polarsteps and found it easy to journal in at night as well as downloading pictures. I spent a lot of time editing pictures when I got home for the book that you can order. The book price was good. The only thing I didn't like was there wasn't any way to adjust picture size on the pages. Watch the dimensions when taking. Full page photos were great. Family and friends followed my progress easily.
Buen camino
