Pilgrimage & Ancient Music. A lecture-Concert in Santiago

The Pórtico de la Gloria, the Western entrance to the Cathedral, gives great importance to music through the instruments played by the 24 wise men in the tympanon. The music copied in the Codex Calixtinus, that medieval manuscript created as an ideological fundament for the Camino, is also highly interesting.
SON do CAMIÑO offers you now a unique experience, a lecture-concert, which will allow you to listen, to see and to understand the instruments of the Portico, rebuilt in wood, as well as the music of the Codex.

Before we publish the calendar we will do a general rehearsal on Monday, Feb 13th, at 19ººh in the San Felipe Neri chapel in the Seminario Mayor Compostelano. The entrance is free. If you are going to be in Santiago, do come. And if you know anybody who´s going to be here, tell them.
