Hi, I would like to know how is the pilgrim support on the Norte for the moment. Do you need to take supplies with you ? On the frances there is no need for it, but I don't know for the norte, especially the part between Santander and Oviedo. Please some advice.

https://www.gronze.com/etapa/santander/santillana-mar is your best resource for information on the Norte. Its in Spanish but Google Chrome will translate. I rarely carry more food than an orange and I chocolate bar. I found plenty of places to stop to eat or buy food on the Norte.

As has been mentioned, Gronze.com will show what services are available in each town along the way.

I am with Dennis on this one. Having walked the Norte I can add to the reassurance that there are shops, bard, cafes and restaurants all along the route. My pilgrimage was before Covid but I was back on a stretch of the route last year with my grandson who lives in a village which is 'on the way.' Buen Camino, relax and enjoy.
