Hi All

I am starting my Camino in May and as I previously had an unpleasant contact with bedbug I would like to make sure I am not bitten and none is brought back from my trip!

Everyne is mentioning to use Permethrin but I am having some problems with finding it on UK websites.

What products in UK would work the same way? I would like to soak my cloaths and take some to spray the beds in albeurges too.

Appreciate your help fellow scared pilgrims!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Any branch of Cotswold, Blacks, Millets will sell you a pump action spray. Typing 'permethrin spray uk' into Google produced some 352,000 results. I'm not sure where the problem lies

Thank you.

What I meant is that everyone is talking about soaking things in it and all I could find are sprays/creams

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
@AgaG, all you need is one of the proprietary sprays. Definitely not the creams. Spray the outside of your sleeping bag and of your pack till the outside is thoroughly dampened / coated and let it air dry. Follow the manufacturers instructions closely and keep your cats and fish well away from the wet solution / spray drift. Some recommend soaking Tyvet or muslin under-sheets / bed-covers. If you intend to take one you can 'soak' it quite successfully in a plastic carrier bag (5p from all good super-markets). Put the sheet in the carrier bag, Spray heavily, leave 24 hrs. Air dry.

Buen (bug-free) camino

Thanks a lot Tincatinker and NualaOC - will follow your advise!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
