An English friend with a long standing interest in pilgrimage just sent me this link. One of the factors which make pilgrimage walks in the UK quite challenging is the shortage of simple low cost accommodation. This looks like an interesting project for those with simple tastes who like to walk in company and who don't mind being tied to a fixed itinerary. Quite a contrast to some of the extraordinarily expensive and frankly exploitative Camino packages I have seen advertised recently.

A great walk up in that area is the Coast to Coast Trail (Wainwright's) - longer (about 20 mi.), probably a bit more costly, and more independent. Loved it!

There are lots of great walks in the UK and I look forward to doing the Peak Wesley Way
