Hello!
I'm just back from completing my pilgrimage from SJPP in October and I have, naturally, the camino bug. I have five days to kill by myself in Paris this January and I got the potentially ridiculous idea to walk to Chartres before I head back home to Australia. I still have all my camino gear with me from earlier this year.
Is it possible to walk this part on short notice? I don't have a tent so would need accommodation - I assume there are not many auberges, so would it be very expensive?
Is it safe? I am a nineteen year old girl and therefore safety is quite a large concern (particularly for my parents!).
What about maps and way marking? Are there any of our friendly yellow arrows or do you make your own route? Is there a guidebook?
Thank you very much and buen camino!
