Paris or London to Rabanal or Leon in late October

I will be in London and can leave from there by plane or train for Spain OR I can leave from Paris by train. Does anyone have any ideas on a good way to get to either Rabanal or Leon? I will be resuming my pilgrimage in Rabanal. So I figure I will need to get myself to a city nearby and then either walk or take a taxi to Rabanal. Thanks. ali

You could fly to Valladolid on Ryanair and get a bus to Astorga. Taxi to Rabanal or walk there!

There is a very good bus service and train to Leon from Madrid.

OR I can leave from Paris by train.

It's a whole day and night's journey from Santiago to Paris, so you would be much better off getting to Spain from London. As sil says, you will then need to aim for Astorga, then either take a taxi to Rabanal, or walk there...
