Our Carol Service Today

Abbeydore

We've got our Carol service today, really really looking forward to it, been asked to read a lesson;
Micha Chapter 5 v2-5; first time for 40+ years, same lesson, we're singing all-sorts including a Calypso Carol, which also takes me back to my childhood......

Do we ever grow up, not so sure......

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
sorry to monopolize my own post, like all carol services they are a lot of fun, got the dry horrors for Micha, with Bleak Mid Winter just before. The best bit was the congregation giving it some beautiful Welly, which is always very moving.

Was told afterwards there is a 'naughty' version of Micha which is why I was offered it, because everyone else runs away from it, & that it's very diff. to read. The secret is to read in little chunks, cause if you feel yourself going a bit quick you can feel that you are about to swallow your tongue @ any second :lol:

Absolutely Love the build up for Christmas but hate Christmas Day, usually get very depressed, my father used to be pretty 'horrible' on xmas day................no idea why.

It's a week till next carol service (Hereford Cathedral) that'll be the 3rd & then mid-night mass I hope, who else is going berserk with carols, singing & ...................

1st Tin Shack Cockyard Hereford(very beautiful)
2nd Doreabbey
3rd Hereford Cathederal
4th somewhere in Grimsby?

I wish everyone a Happy Christmas & Good Camino for 2012
& thank you for a great forum too :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
