When we were in Muxia last January there were notices posted around the fish auction house about "where" this pod of whales was so sailors could be advised if they had been in the area.

The latest theory is that pod leaders are using vessels as training practice for juvenile orcas to learn hunting techniques to catch large tuna (a favourite food). With over 300 recorded incidents from the Atlantic in Galicia to the Mediterranean coast, especially near Gibraltar, this is a serious problem. Personally, I think it's a form of entertainment for the Orcas, who are blissfully unaware of the danger to the humans on board, above the surface.
