After walking from Lourdes to Pamplona, from Ferrol to Santiago, and from Santiago to Finisterre I was despairing of meeting any other Forum members. And then, on the 2nd to last day at Corucbion, this wonderful pilgrim arrives with a huge grin! "I think I know you" he says.
I don't recognize him at all, even though I have a good memory for faces.
"This might help" he says and turns around to show me his Forum badge.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"I'll give you a clue - I'm from Ireland," he says. I make a huge boo-boo by suggesting he is someone who is actually from England but he doesn't take too offence!
"I am Brian McKenna" he says.
I am so pleased to finally meet a forum member and he is the only 'English' pilgrim we have that night. Brian saves our musical evening by finding a sheet with the words to the Ultreia song in French. (My copy disappeared on the 2nd night).
Thanks Brian - you made my day!

hello Sil! and all the Forum Members!
Unfortunately I did not meet any Forum Members on my camino, from SJPP to Burgos in May this year. I was really looking after the Forum badges all the time everywhere. I knew some members were a few days ahead me but I did not ever catch them. But I knew I was close...Maybe next time next May.
But I know that some members I met on the Forum only, not IRL are walking for the moment and doing well, we keep in touch via e- mail and private messages via the Forum. Nice to have new friends who have done the same walk but in different times, only they can really understand what we pilgrims mean when we talk about the camino.
