These developers built the original Lonely Planets off line language translators, who has since stopped marketing the apps.

The good news is the Jibbigo continues to develop the app under their name, along with offering a series of language pair packs (English/Spanish, English French, etc)

It is not a perfect tool but works well for simple phrases, allowing for audio and text based inputs and providing audio and text based translations.

I want to do English to Portuguese translations. Is that option available?

Apparently not. You can do Portuguese to some other languages but not English.

Might make sense to contact the developers to see if that option will be available sometime soon.
