Oddity with accessing Bookmarks (mobile vs desktop)

On the mobile version of the site it seems hard to get access the bookmarks.

If I go into my account, tap "Your Account" and then tap "Bookmarks" it takes you to

https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/account/bookmarks and says "You have no added any bookmarks yet" (cue panic)

But on the desktop version of the site clicking on the Profile, clicking "Bookmark List" takes me to https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/bookmark/ which does have the (few) bookmarks I've added already.

Apologies if this is the wrong section to post this, it seemed appropriate "and your feedback regarding this forum ". I can make screenshots.

Hi there,

This is because as or right now, we have 2 bookmark systems on the forum. Confusing, I know.

The forum did not have a bookmark feature, so I added a plugin for it a few years ago. Then, a few months ago, the forum software added it as one of its features... so now we have 2 systems. There is no way of importing bookmarks from the old plugin into the new system, so I am afraid of disabling the old system... since people will loose bookmarks.. I guess I just hope people will, little by little, start using the new (built in bookmarks system) and that in a few months/years I can disable the old plugin. But for now both are active.

The new system can be found here:

...and you add a post to your bookmarks by clicking the bookmark icon (top right of each post, see below).

Hope this helps!

Added later: By the way, the old system is used by clicking the "Bookmark" link under each post. It would be nice if we do not use this, and start using the bookmark icon (as described above).

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Aha, Thanks for the information. Unfortuantly It appears for me (I can attach a video in a moment) that using either method of adding a bookmark, adds it to the old system rather than the new system.

Hi there,

Sorry for late reply. It is a bit difficult to follow your video...

I forgot to mention that the old Bookmarking system only is available for donating members. If you see below... the bookmark link below the post is the old system and the bookmark icon over on the top right is the new system..

Hope this makes sense,
Ivar
