Starting the vdlp from Seville 16th October, just wondering if I'll be the only person on the route then. I don't mind walking alone but like meeting fellow pilgrims at the end of day stops. Has anyone walked this route mid October? Any thoughts much appreciated , . Wondering will albergues be open too, I've read on other forums a lot have closed (with view to never reopening unfortunately).

@lt56ny will be starting from Sevilla around the same time.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Yes I will be leaving Sevilla with a friend but on October 14 at the latest. I am sure we will run into each other somewhere. We might not know it but who cares. It always depends on how far you walk each day and when we both take rest days. I am not a big fan of more than about 25K a day especially early on. So look for me in the distance haha
I arrive the 11th, 12 is a holiday and sleep very late as I will be up for more than 36 hours when I arrive and 13 a little sightseeing and buying a pocket knife, poles and a spork! 14 up early and away we go.

I hope to start from Seville on 14 September so I too am anxious to hear from anyone who has walked it so far this year and to find out if albergues along the way are open. I have made some bookings along the way in small hotels or casa rurals but there are some places where there is only an albergue. I havnt got any news so far.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Have you looked at Gronze? As you suspect, many albergues are closed this year.
