Night drive from SDC airport to Finisterre ?

Time of past OR future Camino
Sept 2017- Sarria to SDC, SDC to Finisterre
My wife arrives 7:40pm at the SDC airport on Sept 28. I was thinking to drive directly to Finisterre to spend our first 2-nights of her birthday weekend, then drive back to Santiago on Sept 30, stopping over each of the towns I passed walking the Camino Finisterre days before.
Is it safe? Will I need a car GPS to find my way? Better to have dinner in SDC first or, eat somewhere along the way?

All inputs welcome! Thank you.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
My opinion , stay your first night in Santiago.
The next day visit some places on your way to Finistere.
And when you are going back to Santiago visit some other places .

Wish you well,Peter.

I rode daytime with two Danes, and the streets around Santiago were a bit complex. The driver got lost returning to Santiago. A GPS would be handy (anytime driving in Spain).

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
we left the airport at about 8pm, thank God for late sunsets. It got a bit iffy when the fog came in as high beams from the headlights dis not help. Not sure if it was that time of the year for thick fog, but the GPS definitely came in handy and the streets were basically deserted. I think my wife was praying the rosary.
Next time, I will do whatever Peter says.
