New York to Porto

Hi all,

I am currently traveling on vacation, and just wanted to let everyone know about a route that i used to go to the USA fro Santiago.

We found that TAP http://www.tap.pt has a direct flight from Porto to Newark in New York.... and since we live in Santiago, TAP also arranged with free bus transportation to the Porto airport from Plaza de Galicia in Santiago. They will also pick us up, and drop us off there on the way back.

Might be a good alternative for those of you looking for a way to/from Santiago from USA. There is nothing like a direct flight.

So no St.James celebrations for me this year.... but NY and Seattle has been great! :-)

Saludos from Seattle,
Ivar

Me again,

Just came back to Santiago last night, and the TAP arrangement worked pretty well.

New York (Newark) to Porto 6 hours, with complementary bus from Porto airport to Santiago. There is a bus change in Porriño (between Tui and Vigo) that might be used for those that would like to start their walk in Tui (a 10 minute taxi ride back to Tui should be 10-20 euro).

Anyway... another option of getting to/from Santiago to the USA.

Un saludo,
Ivar
