Young Pilgrims Programme
I'd like to tell you about a new programme we are launching in Santiago aimed at encouraging the next generation of pilgrims.

If anyone individually or active in an association or chapter would like to develop a similar programme with children and young people we are very happy to share experiences. Get in touch.

More details here:

Thanks

Congratulations on a great vision, and what a wonderful tribute to past pilgrims. Brilliant.

John there is a typo in your email address at the foot of the article on your blog which could lead to misdirected paypal donations

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
What a great idea idea Johnnie. Perhaps schools/groups could communicate and collaborate with each other discovering aspects of Jacobean pilgrimage in their own immediate town/area/country/culture and sharing those findings with each other via a 'hub' (under the auspices of the new initiative). The force of Santiago is both centrifugal and centripetal and it's that 'reach' and 'draw' that is so intriguing.

I will contact two of the secondary schools here in the neighbourhood who walk a part of the Frances every year.

To report to everyone that this project is now up and running and has been fully funded with many individual donations as well as a grant of 4000€ which we heard about only today.

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement. If any of you are in groups or chapters and would like to run a similar initiative we'll be happy to share information.
