We walked the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria to Granada in April and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!.

And there is good news for future pilgrims -- Now we found out there is a new albergue for pilgrims just open up right in Almeria. It is only 2 minutes from the Camino by the old town. I think future pilgrims will love it there! It is also about 10 minutes walk from the bus station.
There are ten beds in the albergue, donativo with breakfast too!! I plan to go back there in January to get away from the cold prairie in Canada and do more walking!
The address is C/ Doctor Carracido 24, 1-1 Almería. Reserve by phone or with WhasApp 34 619 860 198.

Buen Camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Thank you for this information. I live 100km from Almeria and I am doing my fist camino starting in SJPP on Thursday, but it is great to know that we can start in this albergue in Almeria for our next camino.

Hi . I’m planning to start my walk from Almeria at the end of May . Can I get my pilgrims passport in Almeria and do you have a name of a guide book … I’m struggling to find one .
Many thanks
Karen

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

You might find this reference thread for the Camino Mozarabe to be helpful. In particular, note the comments about the extremely helpful and friendly Pilgrim Amigos group in Almeria, and the links to their website and Facebook page. They update an accommodations list almost monthly, and manage the albergue system up to Granada.

Yes Karen, please do WhatsApp and get hold of Nely as stated above to stay in her albergue, she will also have pilgrim passport etc. She will meet you in person and answer any questions you might have, very very helpful.

Also you could get a guide from the association: updated every month, free download.

Also if you plan to visit the Alhambra in Granada, you nee to pre book the tickets as it often fills up!!

Buen Camino!
