The Xunta de Galicia have made a new official alternative route to avoid Arzúa and Pedrouzo. I attach a photo of a new map which is situated at the point where the two routes divide, at the end of Boimorto village, by the basketball court.

You could also use the map to avoid Arzúa but stay at Pedrouzo

Thanks for your post, much appreciated. We are planning to walk this section of the Primitivo alternative in September. And will use thus info. Do you know if there is a gpx file of the route anywhere?
