Greetings to all, I'm 'Camelman' (64 years young) a very recent member of this Forum, although I have been a frequent visitor in the past.
My pseudoynm of 'Camelman' is because I have been an 'Ex-Pat' for most of my working life; either in Africa, or laterly the last 25 years in the Middle East. Now living in rural South West France.
I am currently planning to begin my 'Camino' in mid September this year from Canterbury to Newhaven across to Dieppe and down to Rouen, Chartres, Tours and then by the Via d'la Charroux and Via Ecolisma to re-join the Vézelay at Mussidan and onto SJdP.
The 'CF' is planned for the following Spring.
I would be interested to receive any advice from any 'BackPackers' amongst the Forum members as to their experiences whilst transiting through France. In Spain, I will still carry a 'Bivi', just in case, but will stay in the refuges etc.,
Many Thanks
Robert
