Three and a half weeks away and I'm getting a bit...tense. Here's my packing list (attached), PLEASE feel free to give me any useful suggestions as they would relate to a woman who has always been way too warm all her life (I think my internal thermostat has never worked right). The fleece vest in my photo got the boot a few weeks back. As far as toiletries go, I'll be somewhere around 2lbs/.91kg

Much Appreciated!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
looks good, though I usually calculate just the weight of the stuff for carrying on my back

I'd recommend Body Glide stick for blister prevention as well as aspirin and multivitamin pils with extra magnesium. It help me a lot with preventing leg cramps and muscle pain.

Bom Caminho!

THANKS for your advice Pilgrim-S-414, you just made my morning! DUH, just the stuff I'm carrying on my BACK, ergo, backpack. So that right there, knocks around 2 lbs off my pack weight, Yeehaw! I have all kinds of feet goodies added into my shoes weight: gel toe caps, silicone heel protectors, gel heel and sole protector cushions, gel inserts (I've been a huge fan of shoe insert products for years). Got my regular plethora of excellent quality supplements and pain relief (not including red wine :p ) figured into the 'toiletries' weight.

Gittiharre, what a fabulous list! I really like the layout and your pack weight is nice and low! This > "Old lightweight dress for sleeping in" really caught my attention. So did this> "One piece lightweight bodysuit for swimming"...I need something for the beach (again, Duh)! Many of the things you have on your list are weighed into my 'toiletries'. Pssst....don't tell anyone but, I like that you have a bit of makeup included, too! ;) Also, I agree with you about the Macabi. I have tailored mine in such a manner as to not look so "Cirque du Soleil". I sewed in several 'darts' from the waist down to the top of thigh joints, which made it much more elegant looking.

We arrive in Lisbon on 27th of May and spend 4 nights there. Then off to Porto by train from where we will be walking. Are you walking from Lisbon?

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
@gittiharre , we arrive in Lisbon on May 19th. We plan on seeing some sights from Lisbon up through Porto, then starting our Camino from Porto around May 24th. Still...we might meet up along the way! I hear it happens. ;)

What kind of poncho is that?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Poncho looks good, packing list looks good too! You're all set, buen camino :)
Ps: I know it's prob. just me but I would take the sleeping bag..

Thank you, @domigee! It's really encouraging to hear from other's who have already been...and SO Many Times, at that! Once Pilgrim-S-414 pointed out that he/she only calculates actual carrying pack weight, I decided sleeping bag can stay. ;)
